Hi,

I'm Julie, and I am addicted to making jewellery!

2020 and COVID was life changing for many people - myself included. After years of having magpie tendencies', I finally took the plunge and registered on a jewellery workshop at The Jewel and the Jeweller. Jen and Sam's daylong course has a lot to answer for as since then, I have been well and truly bitten by the metalsmithing bug!  Throw in the allure of a sparkling gem or two and... the rest is history.

I live in Urenui, a small village 30 minutes north of New Plymouth, on a 4 acre life-style block with my partner in crime, Sharyn. Our property has been lovingly developed by Sharyn into parklike grounds, from which we have fabulous sea and coastal views. 

We share home with our Feathers (chickens) - Sam, Agnes, Gertie, Audrey and Lav, and Furries (cats) - Tom Lange, Queen Clover and Levi Claus. (The Feathers are all about the eye candy as we have not found an egg for many months!)

My creative space is our spare room... so any friends who want to stay for the night are relegated to the couch! I am blessed with a fabulous view of the coast towards Waitara, and on a fine day, can catch a glimpse of Mt Taranaki / Egmont.
