The Lunar Collection

The Lunar Collection was inspired by the recent once in 40-year super blood moon.  Reticulated silver brings lunar like surfaces to the silver used to make the pieces in this range. 

Some call reticulation the "Black Art of Metalsmithing" and it is a very organic process, with no two pieces turning out the same.  Reticulation usually involves heating a sheet of silver up to 10 times to leave a thin layer of pure silver. The sheet is then heated with a torch and the alloy in the interior flows before the surface metal does. The result is that the surface wrinkles, something like the "skin" on hot chocolate.
